Reviews
Really authentic Italian experience here.
I loved the presence of veal on the menu.
We got bottles of red wine, some appetizers and some entrees to split. The veal meatballs were really tasty and you can use the bread provided to dip into the sauce. The beef carpaccio was also great, as well as the mozzarella. Of the appetizers, the veal was the most tasty.
For the entrees, we got a short rib ragu pasta and a veal au jus. Both of these hit the spot too. Meaty, flavorful, good quantity of food.
We really enjoyed dining here too - surprisingly, it was not very busy for a Saturday night but I think it’s a bit underrated. If you want something authentic, you should check this place out.
Great Italian food in West Loop, the service definitely surpassed my expectations, and the food while not mind blowing definitely checks all the boxes. The soup of the day was fantastic, the Asiago gnocchi was also very creamy and delicious. I ordered the chicken Parmigiana with potatoes and was a very delicious plate as well.
I loved the atmosphere of this place, not pretentious at all, servers were very quick and attentive, and although my voice was almost gone due to a cold they understood all my requests.
Come here for a nice and relaxed Italian food experience!
An underrated West Loop gem. Casual/fancy but without the snooty vibes. Service was prompt, efficient, and extremely friendly and pleasant. Food was equally as satisfying, all our dishes were served fresh and hot, and the flavors were perfect.
We had the pasta e fagioli soup, asiago filled gnocchi with pink vodka sauce, and lasagna au gratin. My partner had the chicken milanesa which was also delicious (not pictured). Drinks were great as well.
Definitely will be returning! I will recommend to anyone looking for a low-key West Loop Italian place without the hustle and bustle.
Had a nice Sunday evening dinner. Was able to get reservations and surprised how busy it was when we walked in. The service was great and the food was above expectations. The gnocchi is amazing and will be going back just for this dish. The meatballs were very good and the veal has a great sauce.
I ordered the spinach tortellini and it was lovely! It didn’t have a sauce and it was more oil based but it wasn’t heavy! I didn’t eat it all because the bread and oil that comes before was pretty filling. Paired with wine I definitely will come back. Great service as well!
Incredible meal! We were able to snag a last minute reservation on a Saturday and felt lucky to have done so between the overall vibe and the food. My dad, who is not easily impressed, said the chicken parm was great and hot (big words from him). And my Penne Scampi Imperiale was one of my favorite Italian dishes I’ve had in a while. Must try in west loop.
Riccardo Osteria was absolutely incredible, the food and the service were on point. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the stuffed gnocchi and both were delicious, and on top of that the plates came out super fast. On top of the incredible food staff was sure to check on us and bring us anything we asked for. In addition at the end of our meal the manager brought us (without us asking) Affogato free of charge. They were incredibly personable and sweet for the entire night. We would 100% come back.
Pretty tasty food at a reasonable price right on the water. The pizza was very good and so were some of the pasta dishes. Nothing amazing or out of this world but a very solid restaurant. The outside section does not afford you a lot of space. The people at tables next to us were right on top of his and we had very little room but outside of the crowding it was a good experience.
